Europe BV, located in Breda in Holland, is the technology center
and headquarters of the globally operating Cobar Group, which
also includes Cobar Solder Products Inc. in Londonderry, USA
as well as other joint ventures and license partners. Founded
in 1983, Cobar's main field of activity is chemical technology
for the electronics industry, in particular consumables for
soldering and reflow of printed circuit boards. Cobar is a partner
to some of the world's largest electronics corporations. Cobar
and Balver Zinn have consolidated their strengths and competence
and they both view their merger as a huge benefit for their
customers. Through this new partnership, both companies share
a network that spans the major electronic markets in the world.
The synergies from the technological expertise of both manufacturers
offer a platform for the development of high-quality and innovative
products including chemicals and solder products for the electronics
manufacturing industry. |

SN-100CS
Lead Free Solder Alloy |
| A variant
of the world-renowned SN100CT (SnCuNiGe). Due to
its increased germanium (Ge) content of 100 ppm
(0.01%) SN100CS is particularly well-suited for
minimizing dross generation in Nē-free/low-Nē processes
reducing up to 40% (depending on the type of machine
being used). Positive side effects of increasing
the Ge content include higher creep strength, better
thermal conductivity and improved wetting capability.
The lower surface tension has a positive influence
on the flow rate of the solder. Additionally, the
SN100CT series also makes it easier to maintain
the composition of the solder bath within specification,
due to the lower level of copper leaching. We recommend
using Balver Zinn Solder SN100CS for both the first
fill and the refill alloy. SN100CT is available
as solder paste (for SMT Stencil Printing), solder
bar (for wave soldering) and solder wire (for manual
soldering). |
